Qatar Airways, a national airline of the states of Qatar introduces new offline payment solutions for customer flexibility.


The new solution offers greater flexibility to passengers who can now book tickets online and pay later at a Qatar Airways reservations and ticketing office. Currently reservations will be made on

According to Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker, Payment should be completed within 48 hours of the booking. Qatar Airways does not charge any additional booking fees when bookings are made through its website.

He said once payment for the booking is made offline, they can then check-in online and also select their preferred seat and meals. Passengers with credit cards can still complete their travel arrangements online.

The Qatar Airways Senior Manager Africa, Rashid Mordiffi, with the new service enhancement, passengers who were unable to make online bookings because they did not have access to credit cards, now have a more flexible payment method.

Adding that, the website ensures seamless, easy and quick navigation through various pages, making booking with Qatar Airways effortless. Clicking on the interactive route map, passengers can easily choose their next travel destination and directly proceed to booking.

Qatar Airways recently launched daily flights to the Croatian capital Zagreb, the Iraqi cities of Erbil and Baghdad, the western Australian city of Perth, the airline’s second route in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro, and is gearing up to launch new destinations, including Yangon in Myanmar on October 3 and to the Serbian capital Belgrade later in the year.

A Doha-based Qatar Airways recently launched its new-look, customer-focused, interactive website, designed for a complete user-friendly experience.

“In addition to getting updated on their current flight status, passengers can select additional services with various hotel and car partners and even book a holiday package,” said Rashid Mordiffi.
The airline is continuing to expand at a rapid pace currently operating a modern fleet of 110 aircraft to 117 key business and leisure destinations from its Doha hub to cities across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific, Indian Sub Continent, North America and South America.

Qatar Airways currently flies to 18 destinations in Africa with further expansion planned to Maputo, Mozambique on October 31.
