Regional Vice President for World Vision International – East Africa Dr. Charles Ebow Owubah appreciated the achievement and good partnership between Rwanda and the World Vision.
He made the remarks while meeting Rwanda’s Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi in Kigali on February 12, 2014.
“I am pleased, whenever I call the Country Director, I can see that things are moving on well between the Government of Rwanda and World Vision” said Dr. Charles Ebow Owubah.
Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi expressed his gratitude for the support that world vision provides to the Government of Rwanda.
“We highly appreciate the programs and good job done by your office in Rwanda as they all meet the Government priorities,” said the Premier.
The organisation has commitment to partner with the government in support vulnerable people in various forms.
He said World Vision has in the past worked with district authorities to support various government programmes designed to fight poverty, including the cattle stocking programme dubbed ‘One-Cow per Poor Family’, elimination of thatched houses (Nyakatsi).
World Vision started working in Rwanda in 1994 and up today it provides support in areas like maternal, newborn and Child Health, health and nutrition,
