The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN) host a cocktail reception in which MINECOFIN Staff celebrated his recent international award from Emerging Markets 2012.
The cocktail will take place today from 5:30 PM, at Gorilla Hotel, at its new branch in Nyarutarama, before reaching MTN Center.
John Rwangombwa, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning received on October 13th, 2012 in Tokyo the award of 2012 Emerging Markets Finance Minister of the Year Award for Sub-Saharan Africa.
Rwangonbwa was attending the 2012 IMF/WB Annual Meetings from October 11th-14th, 2012; kindly find here attached a press release and new pictures of Minister during the award ceremony that took place at the Conrad Tokyo Hotel.
Other ministers, like Rwangonbwa, who have received some prestigious global prizes, include Rwanda’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Agnes Kalibata, who was last month recognized among the African Leaders and visionaries honored for promoting the Development of Africa’s Agricultural Economy, and a Green Revolution in Africa.
Dr. Kalibata was recognized for her outstanding leadership in the transformation of food security and agricultural development in Rwanda, and received the Yara International award Prize 2012.
While Rwangonbwa was awarded the 2012 Emerging Markets Finance Minister of the Year Award for Sub-Saharan Africa, for his role, as minister, in implementing policies and strategies that have made a strong economic growth combined with a significant reduction in poverty rates.
